Family Support
If you are interested in a memorial book for your baby, this is a really great book. The author tells her story below: The original baby book created in 1898 by C.R. Gibson celebrated one of life’s most cherished moments, the birth of a new baby. Forever Heart Publishing is proud to announce the publication of a very special memory book dedicated to those babies whose lives have ended too soon. The book; entitled {I Will Hold You In My Heart Forever, A baby book for little angels} written by Michelle Murray, provides families who have experienced the loss of a baby whether through miscarriage, stillbirth or infant death, the opportunity to create a baby book tailored specifically to their own situation. Michelle is a bereaved parent herself. She lost her firstborn son Tyler when he was only 7 weeks old. She then went on to have two perfectly healthy baby girls but while filling out her daughter’s baby books she was heartbroken that she did not have a proper baby book for Tyler. Filling out a normal baby book did not feel right and it also felt very incomplete. She designed this angel baby book because she was unable to find a baby book special enough to keep all her son's memories in one place. This book is designed to fit a variety of situations by having removable pages. It will allow you to take out sections that do not apply to your little angel. The book is done in a custom designed binder, with over 100 pages. Some of the pages include a space for detailing the months that you were pregnant. Other sections include a family tree, hospital stays, a page for funeral details, final resting place, journal pages to write down your feelings and folders to store sympathy cards and other precious keepsakes. This book will allow you to work through your grief and you will be able to treasure it and look back on it for years to come. Proceeds of the book will help organizations such as Bereaved Families of Ontario, a support group that helps families through the grief of losing a child. Create Your Own Fundraiser To Support SIDS ResearchThe Mississippi SIDS Alliance depends almost entirely on the generous support of Mississippians to donate money for education programs, bereavement support services, publications, and funding for research to help prevent SIDS. Every year we sponsor the "Walk for Babies" and the "Anna Clare Memorial Golf Tournament," but we need your continued support. We receive inquiries from the public and from families who have lost a loved one wanting to contribute but do not know what they can do. We encourage anyone interested in educating and research for SIDS to start their own fundraiser. Many families host their own bake sale at their church, or hold a marathon/bike race, sponsor a bowling tournament, hold a raffle, wash cars, host a yard/garage sale, etc. Any type of fundraiser you can think of would be helpful. This type of fundraising helps to keep the families busy and makes them feel that they are helping to educate future parents. For anyone with an idea to create their own event, we will build you a custom webpage and collect donations. Please call us at 601-859-8900 or send an email to mssids@gmail.com. | |
